A Classic French Variety
Oullins Golden Gage originated in France during the mid-19th century. It quickly became one of Europe's most popular gage varieties thanks to its large, attractive golden fruits, exceptional sweetness, and dependable cropping. Unlike many traditional gages, Oullins Golden Gage is partially self-fertile and is well suited to the UK's climate, making it an excellent choice for both experienced fruit growers and first-time gardeners.
The fruit is delicious eaten fresh straight from the tree but is equally suited to desserts, jams, preserves, and cooking.
